{"id":3327,"date":"2021-04-20T16:29:33","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T07:29:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/?p=3320"},"modified":"2021-04-20T16:36:57","modified_gmt":"2021-04-20T07:36:57","slug":"effects-of-sars-cov-2-p-1-variant-to-therapeutic-antibodies-and-sars-cov-2-vaccines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/en\/effects-of-sars-cov-2-p-1-variant-to-therapeutic-antibodies-and-sars-cov-2-vaccines\/","title":{"rendered":"Effects of SARS-CoV-2 P.1 variant to therapeutic antibodies and SARS-CoV-2 vaccines\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group from University of Oxford, etc. has reported the effects of P.1 variant to therapeutic antibodies and SARS-CoV-2 vaccines.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8008340\/\">https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8008340\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>P.1 contains the following mutations:<br \/>\nL18F, T20N, P26S, D138Y, and R190S in the NTD;<br \/>\nK417T, E484K, and N501Y in the RBD;<br \/>\nD614G and H655Y at the C terminus of S1;<br \/>\nand T1027I and V1176F in S2<\/p>\n<p>Neutralization of both Lilly antibodies (LY-CoV16 and LY-CoV555) was severely impacted. There was also escape from neutralization of P.1 by Regeneron antibody (REGN10933) and a modest reduction in neutralization of P.1 by AstraZeneca antibody (AZD8895), while AstraZeneca antibodies (AZD1061 and AZD 7442) showed equal neutralization of all SARS-CoV-2 variants.
