{"id":2307,"date":"2021-02-12T20:59:08","date_gmt":"2021-02-12T11:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/?p=2303"},"modified":"2021-02-12T21:14:16","modified_gmt":"2021-02-12T12:14:16","slug":"glycan-modification-changes-in-gastric-epithelial-cells-infected-with-helicobacter-pylori","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/en\/glycan-modification-changes-in-gastric-epithelial-cells-infected-with-helicobacter-pylori\/","title":{"rendered":"Glycan modification changes in gastric epithelial cells infected with Helicobacter pylori"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group from Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Beijing etc. has infected gastric epithelial cells (GES-1) with Helicobacter pylori isolated from patients with different diseases, and investigated changes in glycan modification with lectin microarrays.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2076-0817\/10\/2\/168\/htm\">https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2076-0817\/10\/2\/168\/htm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Patient&#8217;s disease states from which H. pylori bacteria were isolated were as follows:<br \/>\nChronic gastritis (YN4-62),<br \/>\nDuodenal ulcer disease (M84, P164),<br \/>\nGastric cancer (HLJ011, HLJ030),<\/p>\n<p>The trend is characterized by the increase in \u03b11-2Fuc and \u03b12-3Sia modifications. GES-1 which was not infected with H. pylori, was used as a control, to compare changes in glycan expression levels.
