mutation, UK and South African variants contain the following mutations: there are 8 mutations in UK variants (B.1.1.7) (abbreviated as UK\u03948), and 9 mutations in South African variants (B.1.351) (abbreviated as SA\u03949).<br \/>\nNeutralization titers were measured by using serum samples from volunteers vaccinated with Moderna and Pfizer referring D614G as WT.\u00a0 The mean loss of neutralizing activity against UK\u03948 appeared to be small\u00a0 (1.8 fold, Moderna; 2.0 fold, Pfizer), but was quite significant against SA\u03949 (8.6 fold, Moderna; 6.5 fold, Pfizer) .<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/reciprocal-serum-IC50-titer.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium
