{"id":15267,"date":"2024-12-20T10:24:05","date_gmt":"2024-12-20T01:24:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/?p=15267"},"modified":"2024-12-20T10:26:41","modified_gmt":"2024-12-20T01:26:41","slug":"a-new-glycobiomarker-for-discriminating-psoriatic-arthritis-psa-and-rheumatoid-arthritis-ra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/en\/a-new-glycobiomarker-for-discriminating-psoriatic-arthritis-psa-and-rheumatoid-arthritis-ra\/","title":{"rendered":"A new glycobiomarker for discriminating Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group from Division of Laboratory Diagnostics, Department of Laboratory Diagnostics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Wroclaw Medical University, Poland has reprted about a new glycobiomarker, change in glycosylation pattern of serum clusterin, for discriminating Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA).<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/1422-0067\/25\/23\/13060\">https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/1422-0067\/25\/23\/13060<\/a><\/p>\n<p>PsA and RA are connective tissue autoimmune diseases.<br \/>\nThe present study aimed to check whether serum clusterin (CLU) concentration and its glycosylation pattern may be markers differentiating these diseases.<\/p>\n<p>The followings were found.<br \/>\nClusterin concentrations were significantly lower in the sera of the RA patients compared to the PsA group, and there were no other significant differences between the examined groups in CLU concentration.<\/p>\n<p>The relative reactivities of CLU glycans with SNA (\u03b12-6 Sia binding lectin) were significantly higher in the RA and PsA patients in comparison to the control group.
