{"id":12929,"date":"2023-06-15T11:27:47","date_gmt":"2023-06-15T02:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/?p=12929"},"modified":"2023-06-19T07:14:50","modified_gmt":"2023-06-18T22:14:50","slug":"aberrant-glycosylation-associated-with-osteoarthritis-oa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/en\/aberrant-glycosylation-associated-with-osteoarthritis-oa\/","title":{"rendered":"Aberrant glycosylation associated with osteoarthritis (OA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group from Laboratory for Functional Glycomics, College of Life Sciences, Northwest University, Xi\u2019an, China, etc. has reported about aberrant glycosylation associated with osteoarthritis (OA).<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/arthritis-research.biomedcentral.com\/articles\/10.1186\/s13075-023-03084-w\">https:\/\/arthritis-research.biomedcentral.com\/articles\/10.1186\/s13075-023-03084-w<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The abnormal glycopatterns and heterogeneities of site-specific glycosylation associated with Osteoarthritis (OA) were investigated by using Lectin microarrays and LC-MS\/MS.<br \/>\nIt was found that abnormal glycosylation, including a high level of \u03b1-1,3\/6 fucosylation and low level of high-mannose type N-glycan, was obsedeved in OA cartilages.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/OA-glycosylation.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/OA-glycosylation-300x138.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"138\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-12925\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/OA-glycosylation-300x138.png 300w, https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/OA-glycosylation-600x276.png 600w, https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/OA-glycosylation-768x353.png 768w, https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/OA-glycosylation-230x106.png 230w, https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/OA-glycosylation-350x161.png 350w, https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/OA-glycosylation-480x220.png 480w, https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/OA-glycosylation.png 873w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Heterogeneities of glycoforms on Fibronectin(FN1) and Aggrecan core protein (ACAN) were new features of OA cartilage.
