{"id":12222,"date":"2023-02-01T20:29:44","date_gmt":"2023-02-01T11:29:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/?p=12222"},"modified":"2023-02-01T20:34:57","modified_gmt":"2023-02-01T11:34:57","slug":"glycan-modification-is-different-spatiotemporaly-in-cardiac-tissues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emukk.com\/WP\/en\/glycan-modification-is-different-spatiotemporaly-in-cardiac-tissues\/","title":{"rendered":"Glycan modification is different spatiotemporaly in cardiac tissues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group from Research Team for Geriatric Medicine (Vascular Medicine), Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology, Tokyo, Japan. etc. has reported about spatiotemporal changes of tissue glycans depending on localization in cardiac aging.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC9841240\/\">https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC9841240\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>To investigate the characteristics of glycans in mouse cardiac tissues, eight parts of the short-axis slices from normal female mouse hearts, including <strong>the left ventricular wall<\/strong> (ventral sides and dorsal sides), <strong>the papillary muscle<\/strong>, and <strong>the ventricular septum<\/strong> were analyzed for three age groups (2 months, 12\u201314 months, and 23\u201325 months) using the lectin microarray.<\/p>\n<p>The glycan profiles of the eight areas of the hearts of 2-month-old mice were analyzed in detail using PCA. Interestingly, it was fond that glycan profiles differ in each region of the cardiac tissue.
